Make a Difference at The Mission

The Mission in Norman is seeking a motivated and compassionate AmeriCorps member to serve as our Volunteer Coordinator.

This position will help recruit, organize, train, and support volunteers who contribute to The Mission’s efforts to serve hungry and homeless individuals and families throughout Central Oklahoma.

The Volunteer Coordinator will play an important role in strengthening our volunteer program and expanding our community impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit and engage new volunteers

• Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments

• Help train and orient volunteers

• Build relationships with churches, community partners, and individuals

• Support volunteer appreciation and retention

• Assist with volunteer communication and program development

Qualifications

• Commitment to community service

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work with diverse groups of people

• Dependable, positive, and collaborative attitude

• Passion for helping others
