Joshua’s Story

Joshua (name changed) is a young boy who has been faithfully attending Bible study for about five months. Sadly, Joshua’s life has been composed of a constant succession of tragedies. His kind-hearted mother has three children and struggles to make ends meet on her limited income. She has been single ever since leaving Joshua’s abusive father when Joshua was very young. Recently, one of his brothers also died unexpectedly, as did his grandpa. He has endured numerous moves, which reinforce anger and confusion toward life. Understandably, then, Joshua struggles at school and home to control his temper and tongue. However, his heart is still soft, readily accepting his need for Jesus and offering up his requests to Him as the one who can help. Mission Norman workers pray that Joshua would soon give his heart to Jesus. He has expressed interest in doing this and can clearly recount the Gospel. Also, Joshua’s emotional state would be greatly improved if he had the consistent presence of a Godly man in his life.
