Leaders In Training
L.I.T. will be here on the 22nd of June and depart on the 29th. We are welcoming them back after their last visit here in 2010. They will be ministering to our community and sharing God's Love.
Leaders in Training is a discipleship ministry for children in the 5th and 6th grades.
Clint May, the founder of L.I.T, was called to Fort Worth, Texas, to serve as the children’s pastor at Wedgwood Baptist Church. Upon his arrival at Wedgwood, he was faced with a wide-open summer with no planned activities for the children of Wedgwood. Clint had been praying about and working through an idea for a new preteen leadership program he would call L.I.T. (Leaders in Training). That summer with no other programs planned at the church, he had the perfect opportunity to test out this new leadership program. What he did not expect was the rapid spiritual growth in the lives of the preteens with whom he was working. The whole program was based on combining discipleship with ministry training.
Adventure Clubs (Backyard Vacation Bible School)
As soon as school lets out we will be beginning our Adventure Clubs. Every summer we reach into the neighborhoods and into kids lives to share the gospel and some fun.
