About Mission Norman
We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ among the un-churched. Through prayer and the power of God’s Word, we believe that our Lord can and will transform our community. Since the first Mission Norman apartment Bible study began in 1998, hundreds of people have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. Countless others have come to know God in a deeper way through our apartment ministries, house churches, children’s programs and other evangelistic events. But many thousands still live in our community who have never truly understood the love that Jesus has for them. At Mission Norman, it is our passion to teach and demonstrate this love to the lost right where they live. In short, we are taking church to the people. An important part of our work is the meeting of physical needs. Our food, clothing, furniture, transportation and financial ministries have helped countless individuals and families going through hard times, and many of these people have accepted Jesus and become important members of our apartment and house churches. In apartment living rooms, on street corners, beside mailboxes and under shade trees, our message is always the same: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”
